Apple achieved the 'victory' in another patent dispute with Samsung. Where in an initial decision, a judge at the International Trade Commission (ITC) said that Apple did not violate patents owned by Samsung Electronics as the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. It quoted PULSAonline via Reuters today (15/09).
In mid-2011, Samsung does have filed charges against the claims Apple has violated several patents hers and asked the authorities to ban the infringing products to be sold in the United States. However, finally on Friday (14/09) yesterday a judge of the ITC, James Gildea, said that Apple did not violate four patents in the case.
The patents that Samsung had infringed those considered rivals, including patents related to 3G wireless technology, data packet format for the transmission of high speed, and seamless integration between web surfing functions with phone functions.
Apple and Samsung patent dispute has been held in at least 10 different countries, along with the competition both in the mobile device market share growing rapidly. Noted, Samsung and Apple have always been at the top in the competitive landscape of the smartphone market.
Apple has recently won an important victory when ultimately convicted Samsung violated patents owned by vendors based in Cupertino, U.S.. The impact of that defeat, Samsung had to be willing to spend up to USD 1.05 billion to give to Apple in compensation.
